There were lots of fun Halloween parties in Tokyo last weekend, as you might have guessed by our coverage of the Harajuku Fashion Walk party. One of the other celebrations at which many fashionable young Tokyoites made an appearance was the American Apparel Shibuya “Boo Night” Halloween celebration.
American Apparel Japan’s “Boo Night” was actually split into two separate Tokyo Halloween Parties. The first bash began at 6:00 p.m. at American Apparel Shibuya, just off the famous Cat Street. DJs including Pele, Adam, Shin a.k.a Pulse Wave, and Hide provided the soundtrack as wildly costumed hipsters drank, danced, and commingled. The afterparty started later in the evening at the Mercedes-Benz Connection in Roppongi and continued all night long.
We were lucky enough to score invites to both of the American Apparel x Mercedes Halloween parties. And, of course, we brought back lots of pictures to share with you. So many pictures, in fact, that we are splitting up our report into two parts. The pictures below are all from the first party at the American Apparel Shibuya store. Please enjoy these pics (you can click on them to blow them up to huge size) and check back soon for our next report on the all-night afterparty!
At around 10:00 p.m., everyone moved to the afterparty at Mercedes-Benz Connection in Roppongi. Our coverage of the afterparty, with another 100 photos, will be posted soon!
