Gravity-defying Braids, 6%DOKIDOKI & Tokyo Bopper in Harajuku
Here’s a fun girl with amazing gravity-defying braids who we met in front of LaForet Harajuku. Her braids reminded us of the famous Swedish character Pippi Longstocking, although they could be inspired by a more recent kawaii “character”, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!
Besides the awesome candy-decorated hairstyle, her outfit features a studded purple jacket, a sundress covered in strawberries & other red fruit, pink stockings, striped socks, and Tokyo Bopper platform shoes. Accessories include a 6%DOKIDOKI “arigatou” earring (that’s what it says in colorful hiragana letters), large heart hairclips, “Darlin’ Baby” & “Sweet Honey” heart pins, candy rings, and a cute alligator backpack (also likely from 6%DOKIDOKI).

She’s really cute! I love that jacket too, would love to know where she got it!
As for her inspiration, I would rather say it’s a definite nod to Kyary, especially with her little striped blush makeup :)
