Buccal Cone “Virtual Busters” 2015-16 A/W Exhibition in Harajuku

Independent Japanese brand Buccal Cone exploded onto the Tokyo street fashion scene when the sheer kanji-print pieces from their 2014 Spring/Summer “Neo Extremists” collection appeared repeatedly in street snaps in Japanese fashion magazines. The key pieces from that collection sold out quickly and now go for above retail price on Japanese resale websites – if you can even find them.

But even before the 2014 collection was released, Buccal Cone was building a following on the streets of Tokyo. Buccal Cone’s designer Takeru Niimi worked for Harajuku’s most influential underground boutique Dog before leaving to work full-time on his brand.

Next week, Buccal Cone will debut their next collection – “Virtual Busters” 2015-16 Autumn/Winter. This collection is the designer’s most ambitious yet, and we expect it to be even more popular than “Neo Extremists”. We will share more information and pictures once the collection is made public. If you have time, we recommend that you visit the upcoming exhibition in Harajuku to see the collection for yourself.
