Fashion Experimentalist’s Handmade Avant-Garde Street Style Featuring Conceptual Fashion & LAD Musician Wide Leg Pants

Meet Kanji, a 17-year-old student and fashion experimentalist whose avant-garde street styles make him a popular street personality on the Harajuku streetwear scene.

This evening, Kanji is sporting a handmade white and tan concept outfit, which features bolts of different fabrics in varying shades of tan, artfully tied and held in place by fabric cylinder rolls. Black wide-leg pants from LAD Musician, and footwear covered up in fabric completed his creative outfit. He garnished his look with a white cutout headpiece (remade from what looks like shorts) that covered up his entire head – with the exception of his eyes. The overall look definitely made him stand out and attract attention on the creative street of Harajuku.

Kanji’s fashion favorites include Heron Preston, Iris van Herpen, and Noritaka Tatehana, while his musical group picks are My First Story and Bump of Chicken. For more of Kanji’s avant-garde street styles, check him out on Twitter and Instagram.
