Formengirl vs. Cheap Mondays Street Fashion

These two stylish Japanese students – he’s 18 and she’s 20 – were photographed on the street in Harajuku. The girl is wearing a furry animal print beret, a flowery purple scarf, a green military parka (often called a “mods coat” in Japan), a long flowery dress, and dark leather shoes. She said that her top is from Formengirl and the rest of her outfit is from vintage/resale shops. She also told us her favorite shop for fashion is Beams.

The guy is wearing glasses and headphones, along with a Burberry coat that he picked up at a resale shop, skinny jeans from Cheap Monday, and Dr. Martens boots. He said that his colorful bag is from Pendleton. His favorite places to shop for clothing are vintage and resale stores.

When we asked them about music, the girl said that her favorite singers include Aiko and Yuki.
