MAC Cosmetics x Hello Kitty Makeup Collection

Temptalia has pictures of some of the products from next year’s collaboration between MAC Cosmetics and Japan’s favorite cute cat-girl, Hello Kitty. The collection is a licensing deal for makeup products and a few select Kitty accessories in the North American market (not Japan).

According to a MAC spokesperson, the collection will be “sophisticated”, but MAC is hoping it will appeal to a young audience who already appreciates Hello Kitty. Items included in the collaboration will feature lipsticks the sparkle, eye shadow, blush, eyeliner, beauty powder, and other related goods.

There will also be some higher end products in the line called Hello Kitty Kouture which feature makeup along with silver Hello Kitty charms, a powder compact with Swarovski crystals, purse mirros, and other deluxe items.

The Hello Kitty MAC Cosmetics makeup collection will go on sale in early 2009 at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and MAC shops and their online store throughout North America. Hello Kitty Kouture items will only be available directly from MAC. The MAC website will offer a waiting list for the Kitty products starting on January 7, 2009.
