Ruffles & Rick Rack vs.Layered T-Shirts & Denim

Here are two young students that we photographed in Harajuku. On the right is 17-year-old Nasu. She’s wearing a resale red and white print skirt trimmed with white rick rack and eyelet. Her white blouse is embellished with ruffles. Her flat leather shoes are from a shop in Harajuku and she’s wearing them with sheer flowered socks. She bought her tooled leather bag in the Shimokitazawa area of Tokyo.

Kika’s favorite brand is G2? She likes the music of Dustbox.

The cool guy on the left is Kato, a 16-year-old student. His striped t-shirt is from Koenji and his denim shorts are resale. He said his shoes and backpack are borrowed. His watch is a Ricoh.

Kato likes to shop at Beams and the Tokyo resale shop named Santa Monica. He likes the J-Rock bands Ling Toshite Shigure and Kuro Neko Chelsea.

  1. They kinda match each other. She seems to be a fun person :) kawaii

  2. Is smiling really out of fashion in Japan?
I like what they are wearing. The girl obviously likes the attention…the boy…ugh…yeah.

  3. I like her socks, nice color with solid black border.
