Scramble Market Harajuku Launch Party Pictures at Le Baron de Paris Tokyo

Fashionable Tokyoites converged on Le Baron Tokyo recently to celebrate the opening of the new Scramble Market boutique on the 3rd floor of LaForet Harajuku.

Scramble Market is the creation of F.E.A.R. director Masahisa Shimazaki and Contemporaryism Vision creator Takehiro Kaneshiro. Well known personalities in Tokyo’s fashion scene, Shimazaki and Kaneshiro shared a dream of creating a select shop that wasn’t just about fashion, but that would also feature items representing “the unique culture and lifestyle of Japanese young people.” Scramble Market will be stocking fashion and accessories from F.E.A.R., Contemporaryism Vision, and Christian Dada, as well as unique art, fashion and design items – some of which are one-of-a-kind – hand selected by the shops creators.

Opening a shop at LaForet Harajuku is a big deal. Tokyo’s fashion industry came out in force to celebrate Scramble Market’s launch at the Le Baron party. To give you an idea of how much fun was had, the party didn’t even start until 11 p.m. An impressive list of Tokyo DJs – including 2Boy, Kosuke Adam, Sioux, Sex (DRESSDUNDRESSED), Inari, Type A, and GOOOOO – kept the music going well into the morning. We scored an invitation to the party and brought back lots of pictures for those of you that couldn’t make it. Click on any of the photos to see them in high resolution!
