Stylish Japanese Couple w/ Junya Watanabe Boots in Harajuku

Here is a fashionable Japanese couple we met in Harajuku. On the left is Kenji; on the right, Yumika. Both of them are over 30 years old.

Kenji is wearing a hat and glasses, as well as a shirt vest, and tie, and sneakers that he received as a gift from a friend. Yumika is wearing heart sunglasses, a black cape coat that she purchased resale, red pants, and Junya Watanabe boots. She said that her purple woven (rattan?) bag was also purchased from a resale shop.

Not sure how apparent it is in the photos, but when this couple walked down the street together, they projected a strong sense of style. They are not flashy like many of the younger street snap subjects we post, but there was something about their look that simply – and confidently – worked.
