Mayupu’s Summer Harajuku Style w/ Sunglasses, Floral Shorts & Chucks

Here’s a super-friend English-speaking Japanese high school student named Mayupu who we have photographed many times around Harajuku. Mayupu was wearing a summer-friendly outfit when we ran into her near Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku.

Mayu’s outfit features a top with German writing on the back (possibly vintage/resale) with Topshop Moto floral shorts and graphic low-top Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers. Accessories include sunglasses from the Japanese brand Sly, a vintage Chanel medallion necklace, a pink & black bracelet, several temporary tattoos, an anklet, and a neon bag (neon is a trend right now in Harajuku) with a button that says “I Live In My Own World. It’s ok, they know me here.”
