Yurie Sekiya “PeroPero Sparkles” Popup Shop & Live Drawing at Isetan Shinjuku

Yurie Sekiya is a Japanese artist who creates fine art, super-cute character goods, and illustrations that end up not only on her own personally-produced fashion items, but also on the designs of high-end Japanese designers like Mikio Sakabe.

Earlier this year, Elleanor’s Tokyo made a video featuring Yurie Sekiya’s popup shop at Parco Shibuya. This time, from October 22nd through November 4th the artist has a “PeroPero Sparkles” popup shop on the 2nd floor of the prestigious Isetan Shinjuku department store in Tokyo.

On Saturday October 25th, Yurie Sekiya appeared at her Isetan popup shop to meet fans and to perform a live drawing event. We stopped by to see the shop and watch the artist at work. We took a few pictures to share the uber-kawaii scene with you!

The new popup shop features lots of her character goods, several limited edition items, and a number of one-of-a-kind drawings by Yurie Sekiya.
