Harajuku Avant-Garde vs. Gothic vs. Kawaii Street Styles w/ Blue Hair, Putumayo Plaid Skirt, EXIT Headdress, Frammy Pants, Jeremy Scott x Adidas, Rainbow Hair, Galaxxxy & Dolls Kill Rainbow Leg Warmers

Catching our attention on the Harajuku street one evening are Takemaru, Junnyan and Yukachin, a trio of well-known personalities all wearing striking outfits. Let’s take a closer look at their individual ensembles:

At the left is Yukachin, a 22-year-old sporting twin tails. She is dressed in a black Putumayo double-breasted ruffle jacket with red contrast lace collar and cuff trims. She paired her jacket with a black pussybow blouse from Algonquins, a red plaid Putumayo skirt with button-down embellishments and black lace ruffle hem. Knee-high striped socks and platform black Yosuke creepers with green trims and stitchings completed her outfit. She accessorized her style with red plaid hair bows, cute cocktail rings, and a black Teddy Monster tote bag with red fabric accents and eyeball embellishments. Putumayo and BlaBla Hospital are two of her favorite fashion labels, and she is active on Instagram.

Dressed in an avant-garde streetwear outfit at the middle is Takemaru sporting long blue hair. He stepped out in vintage and handmade top layers, which consist of a long black puffer jacket with cutout sleeves, a long sleeve snakeskin print top, and a white printed baseball jersey. He paired his tops with colorful wide leg pants from Frammy, and stepped into black platform Demonia shoes. The 21-year-old fashion designer accessorized his ensemble with a GlamHate “EXIT” headdress with rhinestone straps, a pink printed collar neckpiece, and a kanji print belt. A red-and-white face makeup finished off his statement-making style. Follow Takemaru on Instagram, as well as his brand’s Instagram account.

Meanwhile, rainbow-haired Junnyan – the popular Harajuku Fashion Walk organizer – is clad in a neon colorblock knit cardigan from Galaxxxy with stripes and star print sleeves. A graphic print t-shirt from Dead End Kids, long white shorts with eyeball prints from Cassette Playa over printed tights, Dolls Kill rainbow fuzzy leg warmers, and a pair of yellow-and-pink camouflage print sneakers from Jeremy Scott x Adidas rounded out Junnyan’s colorful style. Junnyan embellished their style with a Sesame Street Big Bird yellow fuzzy cap, an alien beaded necklace – made by Yukachin – multiple cute cocktail rings, and a quilted star print bag, also made by Yukachin. Junnyan lists Dolls Kill and YRU as their fashion favorite, and they like the music of Miyavi. For more on Junnyan, follow them on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr.
