Harajuku Guy in Handmade Kimono-inspired Streetwear Style

We caught up with Kanji, whose handmade outfit is a conceptual art that caught everyone’s attention in Harajuku.

The 17-year-old student wandered down the streets in swaths of multicolored fabrics with different textures and mixed prints. His ensemble also featured a floor-sweeping hem and it covered half of his face. He styled it with Lad Musician pants, which were hidden under his remake outfit.

Kanji’s favorite fashion brand is Iris Van Herpen, and he enjoys listening to music from Bump of Chicken and Ms. OOJA. Follow Kanji on Instagram and Twitter.
