Kimono & Tutu Japanese Street Styles in Tokyo w/ Colorful Hair & Vivienne Westwood Rocking Horse Shoes
Catching our eye with their colorful streetwear styles in Shinjuku are Yui and Lina, two 18-year-old Japanese fashion students near Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo’s Shinjuku neighborhood.
At the left sporting purple hair in an updo is Yui. She is dressed in a colorful geometric print kimono coat, worn over a black, red and white printed kimono, and a heart print obi belt. Red stockings, black ankle-strap kitten-heel pumps, gold dangling earrings, and a red furry handbag rounded out her kimono street style. Yui is active on Twitter and Instagram.
Meanwhile, Lina – sporting an ombre green fringed bob under a lime green beret – stepped out in a white vintage jacket with an eyelet lace ruffle collar and shoulder detailing, worn over a cream turtleneck lace top and paired with a vintage lime green ruffled tutu skirt. White stockings, black Vivienne Westwood ankle-wrap rocking horse shoes, and a green Vivienne Westwood handbag finished off the 18-year-old student’s ensemble. Her accessories – mostly vintage – include clear icicle earrings, ear studs, a green bead necklace, a black belt, a brown glass bead bracelet, and multiple knuckle rings. Lina’s fashion favorite is Vivienne Westwood, and she likes listening to the music of Ging Nang Boyz. Lina is also active on Instagram, follow her!
