Street Style Power Dressing w/ Commes des Garcons, Mila Owen, Ruien, Faith Tokyo, Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs & Toga
We met 20-year-old Takui and 19-year-old Fumika – both students putting their own stylish spin on power dressing – one afternoon in Harajuku.
On the left is Takui, who is wearing a bright red zip-up turtleneck top from Zara under a striped blazer from Comme des Garçons with wide lapels and a double-breasted silhouette. He styled his look with denim jeans from Mila Owen, a thin black leather belt, and bright red block-heeled boots. Purple-tinted glasses and accessories from Ruien provided the finishing touches to his ensemble. Takui’s favorite fashion brands include Toga and John Lawrence Sullivan. He’s also an avid fan of musical artists Radwimps and Lil Pump. For more on Takui, follow him on Instagram or Twitter.
Meanwhile, Fumika’s take on power dressing veered towards a minimalist aesthetic with classic pieces and subdued colors. She wore a dove grey belted coat from Faith Tokyo over wide-legged pants and a black ribbed sweater with distressed detailing on the collar from Bershka. Fumika finished off her look with a pair of black tabi boots (they look like Martin Margiela, but she didn’t specify the brand) with block heels, a black leather shoulder bag from Nina Ricci and accessories from Marc Jacobs and Toga. She counts Marc Jacobs and Japanese brand Toga as her favorite fashion labels. Her favorite musical artists include Radwimps and One OK Rock. Follow her on Instagram for more style updates.
