Japan’s 2014 New Year’s fukubukuro (lucky bag) sales are coming to an end. That means it’s time for us to share our final photos of this year’s fukubukuro madness. Our previous report was on Shibuya 109’s New Year’s Sale. Now it’s time to take a look at the fukubukuro sales in Harajuku. These pictures cover lucky bag sales at LaForet Harajuku, on the famous Takeshita Dori, Urahara, Cat Street, Meiji Dori, and Omotesando Dori.

In addition to the fun lucky bags, you’ll get a glance at many of the stores where the Harajuku street snap kids are shopping every day. If you want to know more about fukubukuro sales, don’t miss our earlier lucky bag report with a full explanation of the phenomenon. Enjoy the pics and Happy 2014!
