Here are two Japanese girl,s in colorful vintage-inspired outfits, who we ran into on the street in Harajuku. Both of the girls design handmade accessories they sell through their own independent fashion brand, Incomplete Alchemist.
On the left is 21-year-old Kika. She’s wearing a patchwork dress from Grimoire Tokyo, and heels with lace ruffle socks. Her large vintage-style shoulder bag is also from Grimoire. Accessories include a pretty hand-decorated hair band from Incomplete Alchemist, a cross necklace, a wide belt, and a watch. Kika said that her favorite brands include Grimoire and Incomplete Alchemist. Incomplete Alchemist is the indie Japanese bag and accessories brand of which Kika is the co-founder. If you’d like to see some of her handmade dolly kei and vintage-friendly items, please check the Incomplete Alchemist website.
On the right is 20-year-old Yutuki. She’s wearing a vintage-looking layered floral dress with a translucent jacket over it and sandals tied with red ribbon. Her patchwork and lace decorated handbags are by Incomplete Alchemist. Accessories include a bows and cross necklace from Grimoire, a decorated hair band from Incomplete Alchemist, and red hair bow ribbons (also from Incomplete Alchemist). Her favorite shops include two dolly kei giants, Grimoire and The Virgin Mary. With her friend Kika, Yutuki also co-founded Incomplete Alchemist. Check out their website if you’d like to see more of her work.

Note: This update is from a series of street snaps that were taken last year for a print magazine. The magazine didn’t need all of the photos, so we are running the remaining snaps here on Tokyo Fashion. Some of the styles may be more 2010 than 2011, but they have never been seen before and we didn’t want them to go unpublished.
