Japanese Girl’s Short Pink Hair, Leopard Print, Pocket Watch & Yukari Miyagi Bag
This stylish Japanese girl – with an edgy pink-tipped short hairstyle – is 18-year-old Akari. Akari is a student at the famous Bunka Fashion College in Shinjuku. (We’ve photographed her previously here.)
Akari is wearing a long leopard print top from The Virgin Mary over a long black dress she purchased resale and black Converse sneakers she also bought used. Her accessories – some of which came from Harajuku’s Bunkaya Zakkaten – include several ear piercings and a vintage pocket watch worn on a chain around her neck. Her bag from Pass The Baton features “Akazukin” artwork by Yukari Miyagi. Other styling touches include cool nail art and the awesome hairstyle.
When we asked Akari about her favorite things, she told us that she likes the Tokyo resale shop The Virgin Mary (very popular with Dolly Kei girls) and the quirky J-rock band Tokyo Karan Koron. If you’d like to know more about Akari, check out her official blog!

I like everything except for the black dress, I would like it much better if it was cut of slanted at the hip line and she was wearing it with a light/bleach wash and slightly tattered denim bottoms….either as shorts or pants….but that’s just how I would imagine wearing this look for myself :)
