Sailor Top & Denim Coat from Kinji & The Virgin Mary

This cute Japanese girl is Sato, an 18-year-old student. She’s carrying a fabric tote bag that she made herself. Her striped sailor-style top and long denim coat are from Kinji and The Virgin Mary. Her red platform sandals, worn with white tights and lace-cuffed socks, came from a used clothing store.

Sato’s accessories from monomania and Kinji include buttons (a current trend on the streets of Harajuku are bigger and bigger buttons/pins), a cross on a chain, several rings and a unique earring made from hardware.

We asked Sato about her favorite place to shop and the answer was The Virgin Mary. She also told us her favorite music is by tokyokarankoron.

The whole outfit is beautiful, but my favourites are the bag and the coat. Also, she’s gorgeous!

I like her colour combinations and the simplicity and elegance. she brings to the ensemble.
She has a pretty face, and the haircut adds to her adorability. Her earrings are a little confusing (a press button?), but had she worn Victorian style earrings with faces on them – would have more impact (I think).

I also see that she’s a big fan of Ghibli.
But then, who isn’t?
