Shironuri Minori Wearing Yellow in the Rain in Harajuku

We met with Japanese shironuri artist Minori in Harajuku yesterday to discuss an upcoming art project that she’s working on. We’ll have more details on that project soon, but in the meantime we took a few quick pictures of her outfit to share with you.

Unfortunately, the weather was rainy and cold in Harajuku, so it wasn’t great for street snaps. Minori tried holding two different umbrellas (one black, one clear) to see how the light on the street would look with each. Her fashion, as always, was put together from handmade, remake, and vintage items. She was also wearing a bow featuring her own artwork. We want to say a special thank you to Minori this time for being willing to stop for pics in the middle of a rain storm.

For more info on Minori and her art, check our Shironuri documentary film as well as Minori’s official website. She’s also active on Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook.

  1. Stunning as always, a little yellow sun in the streets of Tokyo!

  2. Eloise Rin

The make up is a little too much in my opinion.
