Artism Market Tokyo #4 – 50+ Pictures

Artism Market is a Japanese subculture event held twice a year in Tokyo. The event consists of several hundred artists’ and underground designers’ booths selling handmade goods and fashion. A wide spectrum of subcultures can be found at Artism Market, but the most visible are gothic, steampunk, and lolita.

While similar to Tokyo’s massive Design Festa, Artism Market was created specifically to support subculture artists and designers. Besides the ability to buy and sell, Artism Market also functions as a meeting place for like-minded people and a friendly place to dress up and be accepted.

We stopped by Artism Market #4 in March of 2015 to say hello to many of our friends from Harajuku, as well as to take a few quick fashion snaps to share with all of you. If you get a chance to check out Artism Market in person, we highly recommend it! Visit the official website for more info on upcoming dates!

A big Thank You! to all of the people who we photographed at Artism Market Tokyo, including: Takuya Angel, Bazookistan, Mimi, Chocolate Melody, Hiroyuki Takahashi, Broken Doll, and many many more!

  1. Chocolate Melody’s and the designer of MIMI’s looks are my favorites. I love the steam punk looks as well, I’m currently looking for cool people that are into steam punk fashion for my magazine. I love all of these looks though. Great post!

  2. They all have perfect ideas in their looks! I do not even know who is better!
