Colorful Harajuku Street Style w/ Party Baby, Village Vanguard & Kinji

Here’s someone who many of you will recognize as part of the Harajuku Fashion Walk crew – Christina! When she isn’t hanging around Harajuku in super-colorful fashion, Christina spends her time as a student at Tokyo’s most prestigious fashion college, Bunka Fukusou Gakuin.

Christina is wearing a pink and yellow graphic top she picked up at the Harajuku resale shop Kinji over a skirt from Forever21, print tights (outer space?), striped socks, and colorful Adidas sneakers. Accessories – which came from Kinji, Thank You Mart, Party Baby & Village Vanguard – include a frog hair clip, glasses, a shrimp earring, a model parts earring, a handmade flying dinosaur pin, a paint bucket-print belt, and a polka dot scarf.

Christina told us that her favorite Harajuku shop is Kinji and her favorite indie fashion brand is Party Baby. As far as music, she likes Fujifabric, Yelle, and Blonde Redhead. If you’d like to follow Christina’s adventures in Harajuku and beyond, check out her Twitter.

  1. It’s amazing how she rocks the style!
It’s pretty difficult for a non japanese to look so awesome in japanese fashion, I must say.

  2. I admit, we don’t see too many Gaijin actually pulling off some awesome Japanese fashion! Plus she goes to an AMAZING fashion school! Would love to learn more about her story, why she decided to attend a fashion school in Japan and what are her goals in fashion. :)

  3. i think it is also the fact that a lot of women that are foreigners tend to look very artsy on their own when wearing something colorful, like Christina :3 she’s got an extra uniqueness now in japan~ i’d find it a bit fun hehe

  4. It’s already been said ~ but it is great to see a non-Japanese pulling off Japanese fashion. I’d love to see some of her work.
