Devilrobots x Mos Burger 2008 Phone Straps
Devilrobots are loved by many people interested in Japanese fashion and your choice of phone strap in Japan is an essential fashion statement, so while Japanese toy news might not seem to be directly fashion related, we thought we’d post it up anyways.
Tokyo Fashion’s favorite Tokyo fast food restaurant, Mos Burger, has announced their Christmas 2008 collaboration with Japanese designers / artists / toy creators / everything else Devilrobots. This year’s collaboration is another set of limited edition kawaii phone straps called Mostraps. Mos and Devilrobots did a similar collaboration for the holidays in 2007, but each of these straps is different from last year’s set.
The 2008 set contains five different toy characters designed by Devilrobots. Each one is based on a different Mos Burger food item. The food items contained in the new set are: Mos Burger Kun, Mos Cheese Burger Chan, Mos Plain Dog, Mos Rice Burger Kun, and Mos Teriyaki Chicken Kun.

Even though they have the Mostraps in the Mos shops all over Japan now, you can’t get one yet. Apparently, later this month they will start selling them to anyone who buys a pack of five or ten pieces of Mos Chicken. Fried chicken is a Japanese Christmas favorite, so I guess this is an attempt by Mos to get more KFC customers to move over to Mos Chicken. For our money, Mos Chicken is better than KFC, and the Devilrobots promotion just makes it taste all that much more tasty!
Once these cute little Mos phone straps are on sale, we’ll try to get out there and get one of each of them so we can post some better pictures.
