Fashion Designer Reem Alasadi on the Street in Harajuku

While out shooting street snaps in Harajuku, we were lucky to bump into UK-based Iraqi-born fashion designer Reem Alasadi. Her brand Reem had a popup shop at LaForet Harajuku this month. It was obvious that Reem was busy, but she was so nice – and her personal style was so cool – that we couldn’t help but stop her for a couple of quick pictures.

Reem is wearing a handmade jacket and dress from her own brand along with Comme des Garcons sneakers. Reem (the brand) is known for one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces, many of which are re-made from salvaged vintage/used items. The popup shop in Harajuku was packed with fantastic handmade and remake fashion. We are sad that we didn’t get a chance to photograph the shop for you. Luckily, our friend Gervin, the Tokyo-based fashion blogger behind Jenny Chrisville, has posted a full Reem Harajuku Popup Shop Report with lots of pictures.
