Girls in Furry Hats on the Street in Harajuku

Here are two friendly Japanese girls, both wearing furry hats, who we met one evening in Harajuku. As the temperature has dropped in Tokyo this winter, we’ve seen an increase in the number of furry hats on the street. We often see Rii of Rii & Maho fame wearing her trademark fur hat, but lately we’ve seen quite a few other girls wearing them as well.

Besides her white furry hat, the girl on the left is wearing a sweater set, a belted mini-skirt, stockings with a bird print, and white shoes. Her friend on the right is wearing a brown furry hat, a jacket over a knit sweater, plaid pants, and black wedges. She’s also carrying a shopping bag from Spinns Harajuku (which is just a short walk from where we shot these photos).

  1. The girl on the left’s style is a little bit Chanel-like. I like it!

The quality of these shots is better than the rest! Have you change your camera? :o

  2. Faux fur is always the very best.

    Way to go!

Regarding the above comment about the camera, do you think it’s the lighting that makes these photos look clearer?
