Harajuku Guy in Plush Coat, Leggings, Platform Boots

This cool guy with large white sunglasses is a 19-year-old student named Yutaro who we met out on the street in Harajuku. His black plush jacket is from a used/resale shop. He’s also wearing a knit scarf with long fringe around his neck and black spandex leggings. His high heel platform boots are also from a resale shop.

Yutaro’s accessories include a chain that’s wrapped around his wrist and finger as well as a green mesh bag from Goody. Update: Several Russian readers have let us know that the net bag he is carrying appears to be a Soviet Union-era “Avoska” bag. Thank you for sharing the info!

We asked about his favorite fashion brands and shops and the answer was Comme des Garcons, Daybreak and Dog Harajuku. His favorite singer is Lady Gaga.

Awesome style, love the outfit. Also really digging the chain but dont really like the see-thru bag lols. He’s cute but would look mega awesome if he spiked the mushroom cut up or something ;)

Very cool black outfit and guy with great taste!
I guess people in Japan don’t ask for cigarettes from each other, here in Australia you’d be asked every few seconds for a smoke from strangers if you had them exposed like that, you wouldn’t want your wallet showing either!

Avoska bag has now been added to the list of accessories I want for my birthday. Of course, I could never give up the various Hello Kitty purses I own, but the avoska bag looks so trendy, cute, and convenient! Especially for going to the beach, or going to the farmers market, or places like that. :3
It’s just too cute. I gotta have that piece of Soviet Russia with me at all times!
