Hiroko Koshino 2012-13 A/W

On Monday, March 19th, Japanese label Hiroko Koshino showcased their 2012 Autumn/Winter collection on the runway at Harajuku Garden Hall.

Born in Osaka, Hiroko Koshino graduated from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. Starting as a designer for Komatsu Department Store in Tokyo, she went on to start her own label in 1964. She created Hiroko Koshino International in 1982 to spread her designs to overseas markets. Her designs were well-received abroad, and she has been the recipient of many awards. She endeavors to bridge traditional Japanese culture with Western styles.

Hiroko Koshino 2012-13 Autumn/Winter “Dream of Sicily” show at Tokyo Fashion Week presented a large collection of diverse womenswear. The colorful show-closing pieces grabbed the most attention. The show ended with all three of the famous Koshino sisters (Hiroko, Michiko & Junko) together on stage – much to the joy of the audience.
