Japanese Girl’s Safety Pin Necklace, Cross Earrings & Platform Sneakers

Here’s a 21-year-old Bunka Fashion College student named Yuka.

Yuka is wearing an outfit made up almost entirely of resale items, with several different pieces from Harajuku’s Kinji. Her look includes a sheer red top over a t-shirt with a Japanese rising sun flag, black shorts (or a skirt?), and platform Converse sneakers with red socks. Her accessories – some of which she said she purchased “on Takeshita Dori” – include wooden cross earrings, a necklace made of safety pins, a studded arm band, a button with pills on it, a “Rock In Japan” bracelet, and a black wristband that says “invincible” in kanji. She’s also carrying a black lace handbag that she picked up at the resale shop Kinji.

Yuka told us that her favorite fashion shop is Kinji and her favorite band is the J-rock group Number Girl.

  1. I love her bag and shoes!
And it also seems like the “rising Sun” thing is really popular in Tokyo right now, since I’ve seen a whole bunch of pics with people with rising sun shirts, bags, jackets, and I think I saw rising sun shoes too.
