Japanese Shironuri Artist Minori in Harajuku for Christmas
We caught up with Japanese shironuri artist Minori when she was on her way to Christmas party with friends in Harajuku. In addition to the usual end-of-year celebrations, Christmas is a special day for Minori – because it’s her birthday!
Minori’s holiday party fashion featured her trademark mix of handmade and vintage items, this time in red and green to celebrate the holiday. In addition to her green top and maroon red bloomers, Minori’s look included a butterfly brooch, plaid tights, a vintage leather purse, wooden platform shoes, lots of ribbon, and a plush fawn.
For more info on Minori, or if you want to wish her Happy Birthday, find Minori on Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook. You can also check out our short documentary about Minori and view her shironuri makeup tutorial on YouTube.
