Kitson Harajuku at LaForet Opening Soon

As we reported previously, the popular Los Angeles select shop and brand Kitson has started to make its move into Japan. The opening of the first Japanese Kitson store in Lumine Shinjuku was a success, and now they have their sights set on Harajuku. On September 6, 2009, Kitson Studio Harajuku will debut at LaForet.

Kitson Harjuku at LaForet

The new Kitson Studio will occupy some of the most prime retail space in all of LaForet, the shop in the very front of the mall, with a big window facing Meiji Dori. Previously, that space was home to the Japanese select shop LHP (Lazy Hazy Planet).

Unlike the Shinjuku Kitson shop – which stocks over 100 different fashion brands – the new Kitson Harajuku shop will focus on one brand each season, along with stocking their own Kiston branded goods. The first brand featured at Kiston Studio Harajuku will be the New York brand “What Goes Around Comes Around”.

Kitson Harajuku

What Goes Around Comes Around (WCAGA) was launched in 1993 by college friends Gerard Maione and Seth Weisser with a focus on vintage clothing. The brand’s main boutique is located in the heart of Soho in New York City. WCAGA also maintains one of America’s largest collections of vintage clothing as well as producing their own vintage inspired fashion line, the What Comes Around Goes Around Collection. Since its debut, the WCAGA brand has become popular with celebrities including Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, David and Victoria Beckham, and Jessica Simpson.

Kiston Japan Bags

For the opening of the new Kiston Studio in Harajuku, Kiston will be doing various promotions including giving away gifts to some of the first customers, launching some limited items, and offering free mobile phone themes. Tokyo Fashion is planning to cover the opening, so we will report back with more information and pictures after September 6th.
