Sheer Skirt Over Shorts & Upside Down Jacket in Harajuku

Here’s a 15-year-old Japanese girl with a short blonde hairstyle that we ran into on the street in Harajuku. Her name is Yuka, and as you might guess from her age, she’s currently a student.

Yuka told us that her outfit – which features an acid wash denim jacket (which she appears to be wearing upside down), a hand lettered t-shirt, and a long sheer pink skirt over short shorts and giraffe-print tights – was mostly handmade. Her shoes are platform sandals and her bag is a backpack with some interesting hand-with-pills artwork attached to it. Yuka’s accessories include her round glasses, a Monomania dripping paint earring, a silver wrapping bow ring, and a cute illustrated button with two kittens on it.

  4. Wow, she is so cool, what great style for someone so young! I really wonder who the bag is by?

@Aulia Sheer long skirts are a trend in Tokyo right now..I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen in other major cities around the world later.

  5. I want the pin ( ゚д゚) Also I might steal the idea of making a ring out of a wrapping bow! Its cute!
However, the rest of the outfit… no thanks.

  6. isn’t that ring margiela? regardless, i love the outfit, especially since i’m a sucker for long sheer skirts and also tend to wear a jeans jacket upside-down sometimes :’D
