Shibuya & Harajuku Halloween Street Snaps

Halloween is just around the corner. Every year, this spooky holiday gets more popular in Japan. Tokyo shop windows are decorated with pumpkins, Halloween sales and promotions abound, and – most importantly – Halloween parties for all tastes and ages are happening around town this weekend. Many of the parties are costume parties, of course. So while wandering around Shibuya and Harajuku on this Saturday-before-Halloween, we noticed quite a few fun Tokyo-ites all dressed up. What could we do but take a few Tokyo Halloween costume photos to share with you?

Most of these pictures were taken in Shibuya, but a few were taken in Harajuku. We want to send out a big “Thank You!” to all of the fun people who let us take their pictures in costume after we randomly approached them on the street. Also, we want to say “Happy Halloween!!!” to everyone in the pics, as well as to everyone reading this article! Enjoy the holiday, and hope to see you here in Tokyo next Halloween!

Cute costume overload lol. Love the group pics and the clown especially. Love to see the guys dressed up too .

  6. Oh my gosh the clown picture is so cute!
Plus Asian guys in suits. HNNNGG.

  7. I love all these outfits and poses! Amazing.
Wish the skin on the images wasn’t as blurred or over airbrushed, it doesn’t look detailed or real, i prefer looking at real skin or professionally airbrushed with the clone tool so you can still see the real skin and pores. Thought this dragged the pics down a bit as it left blurred edges on any stickers that were on skin, or parts where it meets hair and its not been airbrushed at all.

I wish we dressed up like this for Halloween. Any events people can have excuse to have fun nowadays is important.
