Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku Fan w/ Mohawk & Studded Leather Jacket

Here’s a friendly guy we photographed at the Kawaii Matsuri in Tokyo. His tall mohawk hairstyle was the first thing that caught our eye, but we were also fascinated by the way that his entire look mixes elements of Japanese idol culture with traditional punk rock style.

His outfit features a heavily customized studded leather motorcycle jacket. Instead of 1970s punk bands, he’s written the name of the Japanese idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku on the back of the jacket. The buttons on the front of the jacket feature members of Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku as well. He’s also wearing a hoodie, Bounty Hunter t-shirt, shorts and classic Christian Hosoi “Rising Sun” Vans skate sneakers. Accessories include a chain choker, studded bracelet, and bag with Septic Death and Dead Kennedys artwork.
