Vintage Swim Cap, Vivienne Westwood x Melissa Wing Shoes & Handmade in Harajuku

This striking 22-year-old Japanese girl is named Mimeko. We ran into Mimeko in Harajuku, where she works at the vintage and resale boutique G2?. She also runs her own handmade accessories brand called MEtA.

As you might guess by her job at one of Harajuku’s hippest resale shops, Mimeko’s outfit is put together almost entirely from vintage items – including her flower headpiece/hat (which appears to be a modified vintage swim cap), vintage pink knit sweater, and her angelic looking vintage dress. She’s also wearing pink striped stockings and pink Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Wing Shoes.

Both her fuzzy-cross-with-googly-eyes necklace and her hair-braid-and-flowers earring are handmade items from her own MEtA brand. If you’d like to know more about MEtA, you can check Mimeko’s blog.

Keeping with the vintage theme, Mimeko also told us that The Beatles are her favorite band and G2? is her favorite shop.
