Fashion’s Night Out Tokyo Pictures 2011

On Saturday November 5th, Fashion’s Night Out came to Tokyo. While the rest of the world celebrated the Vogue shopping event in September, Japan’s version was held a little later. To make up for the wait, Tokyo got a much-hyped visit from all of the major global Vogue Magazine editors, including the queen herself, Anna Wintour. (Check out the huge crowds that swarmed her on the street in the pictures below.) Besides the usual shopping and partying, this Fashion’s Night Out event also raised money for victims of this year’s devastating Japanese tsunami.

TokyoFashion.com has attended all of the Fashion’s Night Out Tokyo events since the event began, but we don’t generally do much in the way of coverage because this event leans more towards luxury fashion than street fashion. That being said, we enjoy going out and checking out the parties, food, music (quite a few DJs in stores this year), limited edition FNO goods, and just the fun feeling of celebration on the streets of Omotesando and other areas during Fashion’s Night Out Tokyo.

During this year’s FNO, we wandered around Harajuku, Aoyama, and Omotesando – having a good time and seeing lots of familiar faces. While wandering, we took a few pictures of the shops, parties, and anything else that we thought was interesting. Some of those pictures are posted below. Hope you enjoy them and definitely try to make it to a Fashion’s Night Out Tokyo event if you ever have the chance.
