Harajuku Christmas Pictures 2012 – Cat Street & Meiji Dori

Merry Christmas from Tokyo and welcome to our third holiday photo walk of 2012! This walk follows our walks around Aoyama & Omotesando and Takeshita Dori in Harajuku. Even though we covered part of Harajuku in the second walk, there is still plenty more to see!

In this Harajuku Christmas photo walk, we are going to hit two main areas – Cat Street and Meiji Dori – as well as several small streets with no names (aka side streets). To give you a rough idea of how this walk is going to progress, we’ll start at Killer Dori and walk down Meiji Dori (in the direction of Shibuya), double back down Harajuku Dori (which we sometimes call “Dog Street” because Dog Harajuku is located there), then hop over to the very end of Cat Street and reverse direction back toward Shibuya. We’ll zig zag a bit around the side streets next to Cat Street so we can snap popular shops like Nadia #1, Avantgarde Harajuku, G2?, 6%DOKIDOKI, the new Barbie Harajuku Shop, Eggs & Things (the pancake place with the longest lines in Harajuku), and many more.

Once we’ve cleared that side of Harajuku, we’ll cross over Omotesando Dori and head down Cat Street all the way to Shibuya. At the end of Cat Street, we’ll double-back down Meiji Dori (going toward LaForet). Once we get to the intersection of Omotesando Dori, we’ll cross the street (to the Condomania side) and turn back once again toward Shibuya. We’ll follow Meiji Dori all the way back to Shibuya, then end with a shot of the Shidax Building in Shibuya.

Enjoy the walk! Happy Holidays from all of your friends here in Harajuku!!!
