Harajuku Girls w/ Animal Ears, Bows & Lots of Pink
Here are three fun Japanese high school friends dressed in lots of pink – and, in the case of two of them, rabbit ears. Not surprisingly, we met and photographed this group on the street in…Harajuku!
On the left – with the bear face mask, pink eyebrows, and bunny ears – is 16-year-old Yuma. She’s wearing a pink Shirley Temple jacket over several layers of tops, which she told us came from the brands Milk and 6%DokiDoki. Her skirt is from the popular Harajuku shop Maniaq. She’s also wearing patent yellow heels. Some part of her outfit (perhaps the pink stockings over a single yellow sock?) came from ACDC Rag. Yuma said that her numerous accessories (necklaces, rings, doll head hairpiece, charms, stuffed animals, anklet, etc.) were either handmade, things received from friends, or purchased from 6%DokiDoki. Her bags include a pink and yellow “Little Artists” purse and a vintage “randoseru” (a Japanese hard backpack worn by school children).
In the middle – with the hair bow and bunny ears – is 18-year-old Misa. She’s wearing a fuzzy white jacket over a pink-ish hoodie over a t-shirt with a graphic of a bunny rabbit eating ice cream. She said that one of her tops came from Uniqlo, while the others are from “local shops”. Her pink tulle skirt – worn over pink and white stockings with hearts and bears on them – was a gift from a friend. Her purple boots are by Swimmer. Misa’s accessories (bows, necklaces, rings, charms, pins, a belt, etc.) came from various brands including Baby the Stars Shine Bright and 6%DokiDoki. Her handbag is from Harajuku’s Nadia boutique, and she told us that her favorite shops include Milk and 6%DokiDoki.
On the right – and looking quite lolita – is 16-year-old Mika. Her outfit consists of a pretty white coat from the Japanese “classic lolita” fashion brand Innocent World, white stockings with flowers on them, and brown platform boots from Leche by YOSUKE (thanks to Lady Diana for the brand info). Mika’s accessories (rings, necklaces, bracelets, hair bow, and a pink & white rabbit) came from the brands Metamorphose, Drug Honey, 6%DokiDoki, and Putumayo. The bag that she’s carrying is a violin case.
If you’d like to know more about these girls, both Yuma and Mika have blogs!
