Kandi Raver Ichika’s Winged Kimono by Takuya Angel in Harajuku

To say that Ichika stood out of the crowd walking down the street in Harajuku would be a little bit of an understatement. When we approached her and spoke to her, we found out that her personal style is “Kandi Raver” and that she can speak English.

Ichika’s amazing winged kimono outfit was designed by Harajuku’s own Takuya Angel. Takuya is known for his original pieces blending traditional Japanese fashion with modern street elements, often taking influence from rave culture. Ichika’s platform boots are by Buffalo. Her beautiful flower-decorated hairstyle and playful nail art also add to the look.

    It's so great to see some Takuya Angel on the streets! I remember this brand a lot from my first Fruits book (the one that was edited in 2001! LOL), and I always missed seeing some of it around here. I was afraid they might have gone out of business :P
