Mustache Pin, “LOVE” Hair Clip, Knit Sweater & Pleated Tartan Skirt in Harajuku

Here’s a cutely-styled 19-year-old Japanese student named Akari who we snapped in Harajuku. This isn’t the first time that we’ve met Akari. She was featured (with devil horns) in our Halloween in Harajuku street snap set. She also makes a very brief appearance in our Harajuku Horseman video.

Akari is wearing a knit sweater with oversized sleeves from the Harajuku resale shop Kinji over a plaid top from Tommy Hilfiger (you can just see the collar & bow), a pleated tartan skirt from Flower (almost has the vibe of a kilt), and platform Converse sneakers from Nadia Harajuku. Accessories include fluffy earmuffs, a “LOVE” hair clip from Bon Bijou (we’ve seen another similar clip recently), a button ring from Chocolate, and a fun mustache pin from the Japanese brand I AM I. She picked up her cat-illustration bag at a concert by the Japanese singer Aiko.

Akari’s favorite brands include I AM I In Fact (usually shortened to simply I AM I) and Peggy. As far as music, she likes Aiko and Ginnan Boyz. If you’d like to know more about Akari, check out her blog!
