Tiny Dinosaur 2010-11 A/W Collection

The 10th Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo is in progress, and several times each day TokyoFashion.com’s contributors are reporting back from runway shows all over town. On Friday March 26th, Japanese designer Naomi Yamamoto presented her Tiny Dinosaur 2010-2011 Autumn/Winter collection at Tokyo Midtown.

Tiny dinosaur creator Naomi Yamamoto got her start at Issey Miyake. She then worked at Sunao Kuwahara and Lad Musician before going solo in 2007 with her Tiny Dinosaur label. She has shown abroad (notably in New York and Russia) as well as at home in Japan. Her clothes – both menswear and womenswear – are wearable and fun, with a definite Japanese feel.

  2. around 10 years ago our japanese fashion designers were often wild and forward thinking but seeing the current crop (compared internationally with what is going on) there’s a strong lacking of direction/identity and they seem often so uninformed and provincial with a sense of mediocrity that is unfortunate.
