Vintage Harajuku Street Style w/ Oversized Acid Wash Jacket

Here’s Momo, a popular Japanese fashion blogger and staffer at the legwear shop AvanteGarde Harajuku. Pretty much everyone in the Tokyo street fashion scene knows Momo. If you spend much time looking at Japanese fashion magazines, there’s a good chance you’ve seen her before.

Momo is wearing an outfit she put together almost exclusively from vintage items – including a vintage oversized acid wash denim coat over a black dress, a vintage pink fur, striped stockings, pink leg warmers (or loose socks), and gold Gucci platform heels. Her leopard print clutch purse is also vintage.

Momo told us that her favorite Harajuku shops include Avantgarde and Bubbles. If you’d like to know more about her, you can follow Momo on Twitter.

  1. love the acid wash denim jacket :3

I just noticed the girl behind her (w/ reddish hair)in the 1st photo her outfit looks cute too!

  2. She may be a fashion icon but this particular outfit isn’t working for me… especially not the assorted carcasses she’s wearing o_O I like her tights and it could have worked if she had and gone for more muted shoes… those hairy socks are the death blow to the outfit.

  3. My father had that jacket growing up I didn’t like it then. But minus that I think it’s cute!!

  4. Wow, this outfit is super funky. she is so pretty! I think light pink socks would have actually pulled it together. :)

  5. Dreaded Queen

Interesting look. I’m not feeling the acid wash jacket with this outfit!! There’s alot of styles going on at once .

  6. Schezerade

Not a big fan of her outfit here, but there is no denying that she is quite lovely!
    She’s so beautiful.
