Camper Tokyo by Jaime Hayon
As we mentioned in a recent Tokyo Fashion Twitter update, the old Camper Tokyo store on Omotesando Dori closed earlier this month. But, Japanese Camper fans didn’t have to be without their favorite brand for long, as a new and improved Camper shop, designed by Jaime Hayon, has already opened — almost directly on the other side of the same street, right near the Harajuku Gap.
The Spanish fashion brand is popular in Japan, and worldwide, for the colorful and often playful designs of their high end shoes. Madrid born artist and designer Jaime Hayon takes both of those elements — playfulness and high end fashion — into account with the design of the new Tokyo Camper shop. The new store features an all white interior with mustard colored couches and design elements inspired by candy stores.
The front window of the store currently features a two story Jaime Hayon artwork inspired by Tokyo.
There are also several Jaime Hayon sculptures on display in the new shop.
To celebrate the grand opening of the new store, Camper is offering a free gift to customers who make a qualifying purchase. The free gift is a woman’s t-shirt featuring the Jaime Hayon “Tokyo” artwork very similar to the one on the front window of the shop.
The back of the “Tokyo” gift shirt says “Camper Tokyo by Jaime Hayon”.
Besides shoes, the new shop also features Camper purses and handbags.
The address of the new Camper shop in Tokyo is: 4-30-4 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan
