Japanese Girl in Cutoff Denim Shorts, Remake Vest, Sneakers & Vintage Versace

Here’s someone you might recognize from previous street snaps. It’s 22-year-old Guppy from Harajuku’s Bubbles resale boutique!

Guppy is wearing an outfit featuring mostly used/resale items from Bubbles Harajuku, including a remake (customized) vest over a long t-shirt, cutoff denim shorts, striped tube socks, and black Converse high top sneakers. Her accessories include a vintage Versace leather backpack from Bubbles, a Swatch watch from Bubbles, a Fender guitar pick choker, a female gender symbol earring, several vintage buttons, numerous rings (an eyeball, a heart, and others), and a bunch of colorful shaped bracelets.

Guppy’s favorite shop is Bubbles (of course) and her favorite band is Shampoo. If you want to know more about Guppy, check her out on Twitter!

  1. hey editor, the necklace is actually not fender, instead it’s by undercover and it has the words f**ker on it haha.

  2. Hey @Tokyofashion, listen to “Ryemie” bc they’re right about the pick choker, I looked it up and it’s legit. :)

  3. after watching harajuku’s recent fashion event and seeing all the denim cutoff, florals and plaid….looks like American 90’s fashion is the overlying Harajuku trend this year, but they make it super cute!!
