Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Fan Street Snaps at Shibuya AX

We’ve known Kyary Pamyu Pamyu since she was just a cute high school girl we would street-snap around Harajuku. We’ve been really happy to see her incredible success over the last year.

In a display of just how popular she has become, Kyary is playing two sold-out concerts at Shibuya AX this week. We had planned to snap Kyary’s dressed-up fans outside of the first show, as we have done for Lady Gaga and other popular artists. Unfortunately, just as we began snapping Kyary fans, it started raining. We took a few pictures, but the rain grew heavy and we eventually had to stop.

Luckily, before the rain we were able to take pictures of a few friendly Kyary fans. We even met a girl who we have seen before in Harajuku with amazing Kyary-like hair. The most popular fashion brands we saw people wearing at the show included 6%DOKIDOKI, Spinns, Galaxxxy, and Tokyo Bopper.
