Satoru Matsuda 2010-11 A/W Collection

The 10th Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo is in progress, and there are runway shows going on all over the city. On Tuesday March 23, 2010, Japanese designer Satoru Matsuda presented his 2010-2011 Autumn/Winter collection at Tokyo Midtown.

Young Japanese designer Satoru Matsuda established Penguin Boots in 2004. He was responsible for the costume design of Sonicberry Favour’s first and second albums, as well as designing the costumes for the 2006 World Leisure Expo’s booth girls. His interest in dye has led to collaborative exhibitions with dye artist Richard W. Carbin in 2005 and natural hand-dyeing studio Hachi Hachi in 2006.

His brand concept is to mix elegance and sport to create beautiful contemporary fashion. We were intrigued by the material choices in some of Matsuda’s 2010-11 A/W womenswear pieces. We encourage you to click the thumbnails below and check out the full sized versions of all of the photos for yourself.
