Summer Sonic 2010 Lineup – JayZ, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, The Offspring, Passion Pit

A couple of weeks ago, we let you know about the Fuji Rock 2010 lineup. Today we’ve got more big music news. Summer Sonic just made their first lineup announcement. The Summer Sonic music festival – the 2010 edition of which takes place weekend on the weekend of August 7-8th – is considered a rival to Fuji Rock, so it’s always interesting to see which Japanese festival ends up with which bands.

For us, some of the biggest names announced for Summer Sonic 2010 are Passion Pit, The Pixies, Uffie, Orbital, and My Passion. Others will definitely be more interested in the big name bands like JayZ, The Smashing Pumpkins (Billy Corgan), Dream Theater, and The Offspring. Regardless of which bands you’re into, we recommend you check out the festival for a good time in the hot (and way too humid) Tokyo summer.
