V-Rock Fest Tokyo Lineup Announced

Many Japanese VK fans stayed up late tonight. Why? Because tonight around 2:30am Tokyo time, the first lineup was announced for V-Rock Fest – the big Visual Kei music festival coming to Tokyo in October. Not only will this be one of the biggest Visual Kei concerts ever held in Tokyo, but it will also bring together Marilyn Manson and Anna Tsuchiya on the same stage (or stages near each other at least).

The promoters have said that there will be over 50 bands involved in the show, which will be held on four stages and over two days at Makuhari Messe. The first lineup announcement includes Marilyn Manson, Anna Tsuchiya, the Gazette, D’espairs Ray, and the following bands:

The V-Rock Festival will take place October 24-25, 2009. Besides the concerts, there will be booths and other entertainment – sort of a Visual Kei version of Summer Sonic. Two days tickets are 20,000 yen (about US$200).
